I've been binge-watching Yellowstone lately. Holy cow (pun absolutely intended) what a show.

Scarborough is entering the second phase of its push for a solution to the school district's overcrowded and aging buildings. A new committee will be formed to hire a consultant, vet four potential projects, engage the public and come up with final recommendations for the School Board.

In The Know: The Scarborough Town Council approved additional changes to the cannabis licensing ordinance in July, its second successive year making amendments. Read more from Assistant Town Manager Liam Gallagher.

THIS DAY IN HISTORY

Ninth graders joined the high school for the 1969-70 school year.

Aug. 22, 1969: The Portland Evening Express reported that Scarborough High School was to become a four-year school.


Twenty-six classrooms were added to accommodate 175 ninth-graders that were set to join the school and prepare for future enrollment increases.

Anderholm's story, Inn Mates, is a chronicle of two Bostonians operating an inn in Bar Harbor and the many life lessons they learned from guests along the way. Registration is required.
